Shortlist announced for Medilink Yorkshire and Humber Awards

The finalists for the annual Medilink Yorkshire and Humber Awards have been announced.

The Medilink Awards, which will take place on the evening of December 11 at Sheffield City Hall as part of Medilink’s inaugural Winter Ball, is a celebration of the achievements of the region’s leading Healthcare and Life Sciences organisations.

The annual Awards is the premier networking event in the healthcare technology calendar, bringing together leading business representatives, clinicians and researchers from across the sector.

The winners will be announced by England Rugby Union legend Brian Moore. Brian gained 64 Caps and was part of an England team that won 3 Grand Slams and in 1991 was voted Whitbread Rugby World Player of the Year. Brian is now a leading sports broadcaster and author.

The five winners of the awards will go on to represent Yorkshire and Humber at the prestigious national Medilink UK Awards, which take place at the MedTech Innovation Expo, Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 29 April 2015.

Jason Brannan, Director at Medilink Yorkshire and Humber, said: “The standard of entries we have received for our awards has been very high.

“The successes of our shortlisted companies – and of course our winners – should give great confidence about the strength of the Healthcare Technologies sector in this region. The presentation of the Awards at our Winter Ball event on December 11 will provide the perfect backdrop to what will be a really special event.

“We would also like to say a big thank you to our headline supporters – the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network, our award supporters Harrison Goddard Foote (HGF) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and our event supporters Creative Sheffield and Medipex.”
