The GBUK Group has increased its international profile after a successful show at the world’s biggest healthcare exhibition – MEDICA.
This year was GBUK Group’s first exhibition at the Dusseldorf-based show, with the intention of recruiting new distributors for the company’s market leading portfolio of products.
The event, which attracted more than 130,000 visitors over the four days, was a huge success with 35 potential distributors requesting more information, including all the major European countries and markets such as the USA, Russia and the UAE.
Particularly in demand was GBUK’s vaginal pessaries and the range of enteral products that meet the new ISO 80369-3/ENFit standard which is being introduced over the next two years.
Marcus Ineson, GBUK Group Marketing Director, said: “We’ve had a busy and productive week at MEDICA. It’s been a great opportunity to meet people from across the world and discuss our products, track record and exceptional levels of customer service.
“We now have as a structured plan in place to ensure that every opportunity possible is explored and developed in the next two weeks – and we aim to have several new distributors signed by the end for 2014.”
GBUK also caught the interest of global magazine Medical Product Outsourcing during the show. Marcus Ineson and GBUK Group Managing Director Mark Thompson were interviewed by the magazine’s Washington-based Editorial Director Chris Delporte, about how the company has developed its range of products to meet the requirements of the new ISO standard for connectors, ensuring customers are prepared well in advance of the change.
